Day 7

Turtle Island's

Waking up in Turtle Island was very exciting! We started the day off with an amazing buffet breakfast then departed back to Sandakan City to see the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. At this center, we observed man’s closest relative “the Orang Utan” being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo. We witness the feeding of the Orang Utan’s and it was one of the most amazing things we ever saw!

We made our way back to Selingan where we enjoyed a beach barbeque swam in the warm ocean and at night we got to witness the transferring of the turtle eggs to the hatchery, some turtle hatchings, and the release of the baby turtles to the open sea!
